Dr. Kay Navarrette
For the past 15 years, I've had the privilege of caring for children and supporting families throughout every stage of childhood. From a baby's first days to the transition into adolescence, I've experienced the incredible joy of watching children grow into their own unique personalities. That ongoing relationship is one of the reasons I chose pediatrics and continues to inspire me every day.

Over the years, I also saw how the traditional insurance based healthcare system often made it difficult to provide the kind of care families deserve. Short appointments, limited access, and fragmented communication too often got in the way of meaningful conversations and lasting relationships.

That's why I created Hive Pediatrics.
​
I believe pediatric care should be personal, unhurried, and built on trust. Through a Direct Primary Care model, I'm able to spend more time with each family, provide direct access when questions arise, and partner with parents to make thoughtful decisions that support every child's health and well being. My commitment is to care for every child and strengthen every hive through kind, thoughtful, and intentional care.
Why I Love What I Do
One of the greatest joys of being a pediatrician is seeing the world through a child's eyes. I've always loved talking with children on their level, playing with them, and helping them feel comfortable during their visits. Those little moments often become the most meaningful ones.

Over the years, children have brought in drawings they made just for me, and parents have shared stories of their little ones going home and pretending to be "Dr. Navarrette." Those moments are incredibly special because they remind me that the relationships we build extend far beyond the exam room. Knowing I've made a positive impact in a child's world is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a pediatrician. Â

At the same time, I never lose sight of the responsibility that comes with caring for children. Whether I'm meeting a family for the first time or caring for a patient I've known for years, I strive to provide thoughtful, thorough care and to recognize the details that matter. My goal is always to help children grow up healthy while giving parents confidence, guidance, and a trusted partner through every stage of childhood.

15 years caring for pediatric patients in the Phoenix area.
Experience in both private practice and community healthcare settings.
Provides care for children from birth through age 18.
Beyond the Office
When I'm not caring for patients, my favorite place to be is with my family. I've been married to my best friend for more than 20 years, and together we're raising two amazing daughters who keep life full of joy, laughter, and adventure. Watching them grow into their own unique people is one of my greatest privileges.

As a family, we love traveling and creating new memories together. On weekends, you'll often find us cheering on our daughters in their sports or the Arizona teams, whether it's the Cardinals, the Suns, or the University of Arizona Wildcats.
